Need your title the same day?
Fast Title Service is available at all Tax Collector locations. Upon request, the title certificate will be issued on site for an additional $10. A written Authorization/Release Affidavit for Expedited Title, TL-46 Document, Page 10 (PDF) or Power of Attorney, Form HSMV 82053 (PDF) is required if someone other than the owner is picking up the title.
When do you need a title?
You must apply for a title and registration when you:
- Purchase a new mobile home
- Bring a mobile home into Florida
- Change ownership of a mobile home
Note: Mobile homes declared as real property are not required to be titled.
How to apply for or transfer a title?
What you’ll need:
- Proof of ownership. Examples include a certificate of title, notarized bill of sale, or affidavit of ownership.
- Completed and signed Application for Certificate of Mobile Home Title, Form HSMV 82040 MH (PDF).
