Update Mailing Address
Any changes to your business tax receipt must be reported to the Tax Collector’s Office.
For an address change, you need to indicate that you are making an address change on your renewal notice, sign the notice and submit with the renewal payment.

Transfer Ownership
Any changes to your business tax receipt must be reported to the Tax Collector’s Office.
For an ownership transfer, you need to indicate that you are transferring ownership on your renewal notice, sign the notice and submit with the renewal payment.
Transfer requirements
- Original tax receipt must be current (expired receipts cannot be transferred).
- Must provide original tax receipt and evidence of sale.
- Pay an additional change fee. An additional fee will be applied of up to ten percent (10%) of the annual license tax (minimum $3.00 not to exceed $25.00).
Important: Business tax receipts cannot be transferred to a new owner if the current owner is an individual professional, contractor, or insurance adjuster.

Update Business Name
Any changes to your business tax receipt must be reported to the Tax Collector’s Office.
If you’re only changing your business name with no change in ownership, you need to indicate that you are making a name change on your renewal notice, sign the notice and submit with the renewal payment.
Name change requirements
- Provide verification of the new name registered on www.sunbiz.org.
- Provide your original paid tax receipt.
- Pay an additional change fee. An additional fee will be applied of up to ten percent (10%) of the annual license tax (minimum $3.00 not to exceed $25.00).

Business Additions
Any changes to your business tax receipt must be reported to the Tax Collector’s Office.
Do you need to add an additional type of service, additional employees, or equipment? You can easily submit your request via our BTExpress online portal or in person at one of out offices. Fees will be determined by category and/or quantity of addition.
