Information for Dealers, Tow Companies, Title Service Companies & Financial Institutions
The Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office is committed to providing efficient, excellent service. To meet growing demand from dealers, title service companies, tow companies, financial institutions, and their representatives, we are streamlining our tag and title processing. These changes provide you with multiple convenient service options while ensuring we continue to serve all customers effectively.

Four service options are available:
Drop off your completed title work 24/7 using Smart Lockers at our Brandon and North Tampa locations, or during business hours inside our Southshore, Plant City, and Drew Park offices.
Not available at: Downtown, AAA/Westshore, East Tampa, and MacDill AFB locations

Our authorized partner, Dealer Tag Agency, Inc. (DTA), processes all dropped-off work with a target turnaround of 3 business days (excluding weekends and office closures). Processing times may vary based on volume and submission completeness.
Required for drop-off: All transactions involving Towing & Storage, Labor & Storage, and Bonded titles must be dropped off and require additional processing time due to complex paperwork and research requirements.

Process up to two (2) transactions per company or representative, per day at any Tax Collector office (except AAA/Westshore, East Tampa and MacDill AFB), Monday – Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
Important:
- Two (2) transaction limit applies across ALL Tax Collector offices per day.
- All work must be complete and ready for processing when presented.
- Towing & Storage, Labor & Storage, and Bonded titles must be dropped off (see Option 1).

Visit the retail locations of our authorized partner, Dealer Tag Agency, Inc. (DTA), for same-day processing of unlimited transactions. Additional fees apply.

Dealer Tag Agency, Inc. is authorized by the Tax Collector to provide these services in Hillsborough County.
